President



Vicky Samuto
Vicky is a fourth year student from Mars, Pennsylvania majoring in Human Resources with a minor in Communication. She will be graduating this June, and has been with the Running Club since her freshman year. As a sophomore, she was Sponsorship and Advertising Chair for the club. This is her second year as President, and she enjoys meeting all the new runners each year. In high school, she ran Varsity Cross Country all four years, and enjoys striving for endurance. Her goal is to eventually run a half marathon, but for right now is enjoying her time running with the club.

Vice President

Emily Blake
Emily is a sophomore studying mechanical engineering and this is her second year with the running club and it just keeps on getting better! She is from Louisville, Kentucky but moved around a lot. Emily ran cross country for four years and track for two - her specialities were the two mile, mile, 4 by 8 and the steeplechase! Right now, she is trying to finally break 20 in the 5K so come on out and make her run fast! After that, Emily wants to run a marathon, or at least a mini. "I pretty much love running, especially when in the company of such awesome people! So...happy runnings!"

Treasurer

Greg Folger
Greg is a third year student from Canton, Ohio, majoring in Accounting.  He has been the group's Treasurer for the past 2 years and has enjoyed getting to know fellow runners in the club.   He ran cross country from 7th grade through senior year at Massillon Jackson.  He was fortunate to run with his 5th place team at the Division I state meet in his final year and has become a lifelong runner since then.  His most notable race since then has been the 2006 Columbus 1/2 Marathon, in which he placed 19th.  Greg loves to run outside year round and finds it to be a great stress relief.  He also stays busy with other clubs and mentoring activities in the business school.

Community Service Chair

Marlo Schlosser
Marlo is a third year student at Ohio State from Cincinnati, Ohio (and is a Cincinnati Reds fan..."Go Reds!"). In high school, she ran both cross country and track. This is her second year as community service chair for the Running Club at OSU. She enjoys running 5k races and plans on training for a marathon soon.

Social Chairs

Erica Watson
Erica Watson is a 3rd year Senior and has for 2 years been the Social Chair. She ran XC and track in High School and ran in the state XC meet sophmore and junior year. She was on the first girls team in her school's history to make it to states, which ranked number 1 and 2 the whole year and won Tiffin Carnival. Erica went to Indiana Wesleyan University on a running scholarship but unfortunately fractured her foot and transfered to OSU last year. She's also a member of OUAB and Activites Coordinator for Alpha Gamma Delta and involved with Real Life. She has ran and won numerous races, including a half marathon.

Angela Righi
Angela Righi is a sophomore majoring in pharmacy from Mentor, Ohio. She started cross country and track in 7th grade, and continued to senior year in high school.  Angela joined OSU Running Club in the fall of freshman year (autumn ’07), then became an officer for fall of sophomore year (autumn ’08).  Since high school she has been running on her own and participating in some road races, anywhere from 5ks to 10 milers.

Advertising Chairs

Heather Weis
Heather Weis is a fourth year studying Biology. She is from Toledo, OH, but grew up in rural Wisconsin. Heather has been a member of the Running Club since her sophomore year at OSU, and has become a more active participant in the last two years. She ran cross country and track in high school. She has also completed two Columbus Marathons and will be running her first Boston Marathon in the spring of 2008.

Kate Tolin
Kate is a second year. Her major is Speech and Hearing Science.  Kate is from a tiny town called Magnolia (near Canton, Ohio).  She ran Track and Cross Country every year since Junior High.  Kate is running to train for road races currently but her goal is to one day be able to run a marathon!

Fundraising Chair

Jenn Wittwer
Jennifer is a sophmore here at OSU. She is majoring in molecular genetics and minoring in human nutrition. She joined the running club last fall and have been participating in runs, social events, and fundraising events ever since. She is a Cincinnati native and went to Turpin high school. Jen has enjoyed running for years- she ran track and cross country throughout high school, and hopes to continue running for awhile.  She plans on running her first half-marathon this fall and hopes to do a full marathon next year.

Advisor

Amy Wade
Amy works in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and First Year Experience as the Assistant Director of Early College Outreach. Amy is originally from Irondale, OH and received her undergraduate and master's degrees from Ohio State. She is currently working on her Ph.D in Higher Education Policy and Leadership.
